Another beautiful day at the South Padre Island Birding and Nature Center. Highlights included a Clapper Rail and a Virginia Rail foraging next to each just off the boardwalk, allowing for some great side by side comparisons of both species. Plus there are still some Greater Scaups lingering around amongst the rafts of Lesser Scaups in the area. Guided bird walks are offered every Thursday-Sunday here at the SPI BNC.
