About the Event
Discover Coastal Nature through our fun Coastal Nature Camp!
Campers will become wetland biologists and will learn all about our special coastal environments and wildlife through a four-day camp full of fun outdoor activities! We'll start by learning about wetland ecology and the importance of heatlhy environments for wildlife, and we will follow by accessing the health of our wetlands through fun field activities such as water quality testing, bird surveys, dragonfly dip-netting, mammal plaster casts, fish prints, and more! By the time camp is done your child will have a good understanding about the importance of wetlands, how they function, and how wildlife utilizes it and plays a role in the ecosystem!
Each camp session is limited to 10 campers between the ages of 8-12.
Most of the time will be spent outdoors, with some indoor instruction before and after activities.
Camp is from 9am-1pm each day. Campers can be dropped off 15 minutes prior to camp start time.
