Join our naturalists for a guided tour as we celebrate World Shorebirds Day with a shorebird count for conservation along our boardwalk. Stay after the tour to learn about the shorebird conservation work being done in the RGV by Coastal Bird Conservation Biologist, Stephanie Bilodeau.

About the Event
Shorebirds (sandpipers, plovers, and allies), are some of the most incredible birds in the world! They are champion migrants, with some species migrating nearly pole to pole twice a year! Early September brings waves of migratory shorebirds through our wetlands and mudflats as they seek rest and food to energize their journey. Enjoy and learn all about these incredible birds as we celebrate their lives and natural histories!
