About the Event
Enjoy the beautiful bird life of South Padre Island on a nice and easy morning stroll on our boardwalk through stunning tidal wetlands along the Laguna Madre as well as a freshwater oasis with our Naturalists Educators as your guide.
The early spring season brings color and song to our wetlands! Our resident species aquire their bright breeding plumages, songbirds start to sing and claim territories, and the food chain activity gets bumped up a notch as the Laguna Madre waters start to warm! We also start to see the first migratory birds arrive on our site as they pass through on their way to northern breeding grounds coming from southern wintering sites! An interesting change in seasons to be enjoyed!
Tours are limited to 10 participants. Sanitized binoculars are loaned during the tour.
Birding Tours at this time are limited to students above 13 years of age as well as adults and seniors.
Ticket includes a $10 guided tour fee and a discounted $5 admission fee.
