About the Event
Bird diversity doubles on South Padre Island during the wintertime as northern migratory birds join our resident species for the season. More than 70 species winter on South Padre Island and can be seen from the birding center's boardwalk and gardens. During this presentation, Naturalist Educator, Javier Gonzalez, will present the many waterfowl, shorebird, raptors, and songbirds species that join us for the winter on SPI! The one-hour indoor presentation will then be followed by a guided tour on the boardwalk.
This presentation is best suited for students above 13 years of age as well as adults and seniors.
General Admission will be paid seperately upon arrival to the birding and nature center.
Adults: $10
Students 13-18 yrs & Seniors 55+ : $8
