About the Event
This time of year, bird species diversity doubles along the shores of the lower Laguna Madre as migratory northern birds spend the winter alongside our resident species, making for some fantastic birding! Enjoy some laid-trip with our naturalist volunteers on a comfortable pontoon boat as you explore the bay and parts of the Brownsville ship channel. This is one of the best ways to see a great number of coastal wading birds, terns, pelicans, gulls, shorebirds, birds of prey as well as a chance to see other marine wildlife such as Bottlenose Dolphin and seaturtles!
Binoculars will be available to borrow for this tour.
In case of bad weather this trip will be postponed for, Saturday Feb 12th.
This trip goes out from Port Isabel at the Oil Patch Xpress docks off of W. Southshore Drive. Participants must meet guides there.
