WOWE Cactus Creek Ranch & Laguna Atascosa NWR Tour

Start the tour with a visit to Cactus Creek Ranch, an international learning center for implementing future conservation and sharing knowledge about the great outdoors! Meet ranch owner, Mary Jo Bogatto and learn about the special partnership between the ranch and the adjacent Laguna Atascosa National Wildlife Refuge and their efforts to conserve habitats and species as well as educate the surrounding community! Enjoy a refreshment at the ranch and then the tour continues on to the Laguna Atascosa NWR visitor center and enjoy Rio Grande Valley specialty birds like; Green Jays, Great Kiskadee, Altamira Orioles, and maybe a rare bird or two will surprise us! This tour runs a bit longer than most to maximize time on the field. Bring your own lunch and refillable water bottle.

Binoculars will be availalbe to borrow during this tour. 

Birding tour leaves from and returns to the South Padre Island Birding & Nature Center. 

Cancelletions must be done 4 days in advance for a $50 refund.

With everyone's health in mind, the use of face masks will be recommended while in tour van.
