WWE Bahia Grande Tour - 2

This tour offers a special opportunity to visit and learn about the largest wetlands restoration project in the United States through a tour  of the Bahia Grande tract of the Laguna Atascosa National Wildlife Refuge, which is a tract which is not normally open to the public! Join one of our experienced guides for a chance at seeing some incredible STX wildlife symbolic of the coastal wetlands and praries such as; Aplomado Falcon, White-tailed Hawk, White-tailed Kite, Cassin's Sparrow, a varitey of wading birds, shorebirds, waterfowl, and more! The trip conveniently leaves from and returns to the SPI Birding & Nature Center. 

You can bring your own binoculars, or you may rent a pair from us for an additional $5 fee. Our guide will have a high quality spotting scope to share phenomenal views of the wildlife with tour participants. Bring your own water bottle and snacks. 

Be advised that the Bahia Grande tract is a wild and remote area without any restroom facilities. We will be stopping at a restroom just before and after the tour. 

Cancellations must be done 4 days in advance for a 50% refund.

Tour goes out rain or shine, but in the event of severe weather it will be postponed to Wednesday, Feb 14th.
